What does the name Spielerei (translated: toy, hobby, fooling around) have to do with wine? This name came along with the introduction of the small barrique barrels in Austria. When the local residents asked what they were, the winegrower answered that it was his toy. Experimentation with these small barrels is still known by this name. The playful elements consist of some new barrels and selected grapes. This year the result is a remarkable cuvee from Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet-Sauvignon.

A complex and expressive scent of dark fruits like blueberries, ripe cherries, and blackberries greets the nostrils. For the palate there is a marked fruit abundant aroma. This experience is interwoven with elegant roasted and barrel aromas like coffee and vanilla. It has a harmonic acidity and strong and ripe tannin
goes well with pepper steak, wild game with gravy or other such creations.
