As we reach the end of the exploration of senses, what about the 6th sense? You have seen the wine, tasted it, smelled it in all its nuances. You have examined its length on the palate, sipped and sniffed it. But if YOU like the wine, that is a different matter. If you care to do so, you can judge the wine. One possibility is to go by the book. Another possibility is to have fun with it. When it comes down to the bare facts, it′s only your personal taste that counts. |
| To do this, of course you need your wine glass, a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. On the piece of paper, write down all of the categories which are important for wine tasting. First of all, there is the appearance, the smell and the taste. According to your personal preference, give out points. You will end up with a total of points that varies between 5 and 100. Now lean back, relax, and do it again. An example of
a wine tasting form is included here.
